Is there an alternative to IT outsourcing in Healthcare?

Hello everyone

I have a question. Maybe someone has faced such a problem?

Our team has an MVP Medical product, but to create a more scalable version in the shortest possible time, we need to hire additional developers. This is very expensive, since it's not just about their salaries, but also about the search process itself. It's a very long time.

Outsourcing teams are one of the options that come to my mind. But without micromanagement, I am afraid that they will not fully understand the idea of the product or there will be people in their team who do not understand the medical field.

Developing with the current squad is a matter of time. Competitors may overtake or even worse motivation may disappear.

What are the options for solving such a problem?

I would say the answer is in the middle: you just need to hire a product development partner team without signing an employment contract. But make it look as if you are working on the principle of one company.

With such a partner, you need to immediately discuss all the details:

  1. How many iterations and meetings should there be per month or week.
  2. The degree of influence on the project: criticism of your ideas, the need for a White Label, the ratio of work in % between you and partners.
  3. Do they have a ready-made architecture and templates, which can speed up development even more.

In addition, based on your concerns, you need to find out about their experience in Healthcare.

For an example of such interaction, I attach an article (in comment in link) on how one team turned to another to solve a similar problems that you have: https://nozomihealth.com/10-000-young-users-in-sweden-a-story-about-a-successful-launch-of-a-telehealth-startup/
