Need advice about starting coding
Hey everyone. My co-founder and I have been developing a product talkery.co for a while. My partner is CTO and the only one person who's coding everything at app.talkery.co, I am not. But I do design, fundraising, tiktok, community, landing pages, everything but not code. But we're at the preparing MVP stage where probably most of our value should be coded.
I used to learn to code a few years ago but eventually skipped it. Now I'm thinking about get back to the front-end development: start with simple things and gradually increase the complexity.
Please help me start effectively with no wasting too much time. Maybe you recommend some short courses or articles on how the front-end development works? Thanks
I think you can validate the idea using stripe no-code payment link, if you have more people signing up by sending the link + a video explain how it works. I think then you can build the MVP and save time
@fajarsiddiq the product's value is also needed to be developed so the only stripe wouldn't help me in this case. But I definitely understand your approach, thanks!
Hey Dima,
As for developing front-end dev skills, I recommend making some mockups that might be similar to your service/solution. However, it takes a lot of time and effort depending on your level of comfort with tech and development.
Alternatively, you can try finding some no-code alternatives. For instance, webflow. Although it is not an easy tool to master, if you have some knowledge of coding and HTML, it can be easier.
Therefore, the choice is yours. If you want to learn front-end and use it forever, code some samples first. You can save a lot of time by using no-code tools if you just need a product in the short term.
Good luck! 👍
@imjohnkoo hey John! Thanks for your advice! It makes sense. I decided to go with Bubble, will see how it'll be going. Will update my status here in a week.
How about you use nocode development if it’s about building website - maybe framer or webflow
@rahultyagico you're right! I've started doing my product on bubble.io. It took me a week to figure out a basic functionality but now I can build the product much faster than before
@rahultyagico hey Rahul, it's been 2 months I'm creating a product on bubble.io. It's a great for all non-tech buddies. If you're interested what's the result—check it out by https://webapp.talkery.co/
